Supportive Measures and Resources

Chico State wants all students and employees to feel safe and supported throughout their education or employment. EODR recognizes that not all individuals are at a place where they want to pursue an investigation into misconduct that happened to them. Additionally, EODR recognizes that investigations are difficult for all parties involved. But you don’t have to bear the burden alone. EODR offers Supportive Measures and connections to on and off campus resources for students and employees who may have been impacted by Title IX/DHR.

What are Supportive Measures?

Supportive Measures are offered to Parties, as appropriate and when reasonable available, even if a Party does not want to move forward with an investigation. However, Supportive Measures are also available during formal or informal resolution processes. Supportive measures will remain confidential to the greatest extent possible.

Supportive Measures may include, but are not limited to:

Students: WellCat Counseling Center offers free individual assessment sessions. EODR can help connect students.

Employees: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) via Empathia is free for all Chico State employees. EODR can also assist in arranging additional counseling sessions.

EODR works with faculty and supervisors to allow flexibility during difficult periods related to Title IX/DHR concerns.

EODR assists in adjusting schedules, including options like remote/hybrid setups or departmental/class transfers to meet impacted individuals’ needs.

EODR partners with University Police Department (UPD) and connects individuals with the Campus Connection Shuttle or develops custom safety plans.

Issued when conduct is egregious or there is an objective threat of harm, offering physical separation from the individual who caused harm.

EODR helps relocate impacted individuals to safer housing or work environments that better support their well-being.

EODR facilitates academic or employment leave options to prioritize physical and emotional recovery.

EODR works with UPD to enhance safety via custom safety plans and monitoring of specific areas. See Chico State's list of Safety Resources.
