AG Recruitment Scholarship for Prospective Students

Applications for the AG Recruitment Scholarship are now being accepted. The deadline to be considered for the Bell Family Presidential Scholarship is January 15, 2026. Applications received after that date may be considered for other recruitment scholarships.
Requirements
- admitted as a student at Chico State
- majoring in a program offered by the College of Agriculture
- must be on track to become a full time student with at least two agriculture classes
- medium to strong GPA
About
Within the recruitment scholarship pool is the Bell Family Presidential Scholarship. Bell Family Presidential Scholars are selected from the College of Agriculture Recruitment Scholarship applicant pool based on academic achievement, commitment to agriculture, leadership, and civic engagement. First-time in college recipients receive full coverage of tuition and student fees for four years. Transfer recipients will receive full coverage of tuition and student fees for two years.
To apply for the Bell Family Presidential Scholarship, students must first complete the College of Agriculture Recruitment Scholarship Application. Applicants who meet the academic eligibility for the Bell Family Presidential Scholarship will be sent an additional request for supplemental materials.

This AG Recruitment Scholarship Application described on this page is separate from the Wildcat Scholarship Application which will open in January 2026 and have additional scholarship opportunities. We encourage all College of Ag Students to submit both applications. Here is the link to the Financial Aid and Scholarship office.
Current Student Scholarship Opportunities
Wildcat Scholarship
The Wildcat Scholarship is administered through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office at Chico State. The Wildcat Scholarship Application opens in January of each year for the following academic year. Awards will be announced in late spring.
Private Scholarships
Private scholarships are offered by organizations, corporations and individuals outside of the College of Agriculture. Although they are not administered by the University, many of these donors list their scholarships with the Student Success Office.
