The Geography and Environmental Studies Bachelor’s of Arts program invites critical and creative thinking about our impact on Earth, the equal distribution of resources, and sustainable living across the globe.
Our programs cover social, cultural, economic, and natural resources topics, including: cultural landscape analysis, urban and environmental planning, water and fire management, landscape ecological stewardship and resilience, solutions for critical environmental issues (climate change and other dynamic global challenges), and climate forecasting. These topics are explored using a wide range of geographic methods - namely geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial statistics, field techniques and story maps.
We offer students a wide range of pathways to develop their knowledge and skills in geography and environmental studies in the form of degree options, minors, and certificates.
