Where Sales Careers Begin
The Seufferlein Sales Program (SSP) is not a center—it’s an award-winning, USCA-accredited program within the College of Business that sets the standard for professional sales education. Founded in 2008 by Chuck Seufferlein (’74), the SSP equips students with the skills to confidently communicate, negotiate, and lead in today’s marketplace.
Unlike a Center, which serves as a hub for multiple initiatives, the SSP is a structured academic program offering a 21-unit Professional Sales Certificate open to all majors. It combines rigorous coursework with real-world experiences like national sales competitions, corporate partnerships, and networking events.
Highlights include:
Professional Sales Certificate – A 21-unit credential in business-to-business selling.
Sales Competitions – Hosting major events such as the Western States Sales Competition, Chico State Sales Invitational, and McGowan Sales Invitational, while also competing nationally and internationally.
Career Pathways – Direct connections to top employers through SSP Career Fairs, workshops, and corporate partnerships.
National Recognition – Accredited by the University Sales Center Alliance and ranked by the Sales Education Foundation as a top university for sales education.

Named after Glenn County, Glenn Hall is the home for most courses taught by the College of Business. The building features a variety of spaces, including departmental offices, classrooms, computer labs, and conference rooms. Designed by the architectural firm Rockwise and Watson, it spans over 41,000 square feet.
The location of College of Business Dean's Office and several other departments. The brick exterior building predominantly contains classrooms but also includes departmental chair offices for Business Administration.
