The Sales Center provides Chico State students and competitors with a dynamic, tech-equipped environment in which they can showcase and refine their sales skills in a real-world setting.

We have five dedicated rooms, each equipped with two cameras to capture both the buyer's and seller's perspectives, along with high-quality audio to ensure every role play is clearly heard.
Yes! The Sales Center hosts a variety of hands-on experiences.
Competitions: Student role-plays are conducted in each of the fully equipped Sales Center rooms, providing a realistic setting for performance.
These rooms are also used for coaching sessions, where students receive personalized feedback and preparation for upcoming competitions.
Program staff share video recordings and judges’ feedback after competitions to help students reflect, improve, and grow from the experience.
It is mainly used for sales competitions only, and if you're enrolled in MKTG 473, 483, 464, or 470, your professors will use the Sales Center rooms to conduct role-plays as part of the course. These rooms are also available for practicing sales competition scenarios and hosting coaching sessions with SSP coaches to help you prepare and perform at your best.
In the team role play, two members represented Cintas while the other two represented Pape. Despite representing different companies, they came together to form a unified team, working collaboratively to sell their products hand-in-hand. Their ability to align strategies, communicate effectively, and support each other every step of the way was a true testament to their teamwork. Their outstanding collaboration and flawless execution played a key role in securing the win.
This individual Pape role play was delivered with precision and confidence, successfully closing the deal within the time limit, no easy feat and a true display of skill. The McGowan Sales Invitational challenged participants to push their limits, proving just how much they can achieve through strong sales techniques and strategic thinking.
