The College of Business at Chico State hosts a variety of events focused on industry networking, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Students also have the opportunity to participate in local, regional, and national competitions, while receiving resources, support, and mentorship for entrepreneurial endeavors across all disciplines.

Competitions and Conferences

Students have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects and activities. Many of these qualify them to compete locally, regionally, nationally, and even globally. Win or lose, participating in these events yields growth in knowledge, skills, poise, and friendships.

AMA International Collegiate Conference
Each spring, the Chico State chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) participates in the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans. Students participate in conference competitions such as Perfect Pitch, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Simulations, and Sales.
Elevator Pitch Competition
The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) hosts a variety of competitions and events including the Elevator Pitch Competition and Seed Innovation Challenge.
Stock Pitch Competition
Provides students a chance to showcase analytical skills to a panel of judges. Students research a stock and give a recommendation in front of guest judges from professional organizations. Hosted by the Investor's Club.
Sales Competitions
In addition to hosting internal sales competitions, the Seufferlein Sales Program offers a variety of opportunities to participate in regional, national and international competitions. Student get a chance to compete for cash prizes.
