Clubs and Organizations

The College of Communication and Education has a variety of student clubs and organizations. Join a club to make friends and develop professional connections—or create your own!

  • American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA)

The AIGA student group strives to learn all we can about design and the design world around us. Join us to learn how to use design to connect, advocate, and express yourself!

  • Ballroom Dance Club

We bring together people with a shared passion for dance in a safe, alcohol-free learning environment. Our goal is to support members in achieving their aspirations, connecting with the local dance community, and exploring new creative possibilities.

  • Computer Graphics Club

A resource for CAGD majors and any other students interested in Animation Production and Game Development that focuses on educational events, social events, connecting with alumni, and industry interviews.

  • Digital Filmmakers Guild

Dedicated to Chico State students with a passion for filmmaking, we provide a space for exploring all aspects of digital filmmaking, from production to editing and beyond.

  • Exercise Physiology Club

We offer opportunities beyond the classroom to enrich students’ education in exercise physiology, providing resources, networking, and insights from alumni guest speakers.

  • KCSC - Student Radio

Established in 1951, KCSC is Chico State’s student-run radio station. Our mission—Keep Kids Off The Mainstream—guides our strict music philosophy: we only play artists who haven’t appeared in the Billboard Top 40 in the last 30 years.

  • The Orion - Student Newspaper

As Chico State’s independent, student-run news source, we provide in-depth coverage of university news, sports, opinions, and entertainment while fostering journalistic excellence.

  • Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Society (RHAPS)

We enhance the academic experience of students in the Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Management major by providing opportunities to apply their knowledge through fieldwork and community engagement.

  • Tehama Group Communications

Tehama Group Communications is a student-managed, full-service PR agency working with North State clients. TGC staff help clients solve their business needs through social media campaigns, brand support, campaign strategy and visual storytelling.
