Graduates of Chico State’s Construction Management program (CMGT), are equipped to solve complex challenges in the construction industry.
The program combines theoretical and applied learning taught by faculty managing all aspects of construction with decades of experience in the field. From project managers to on-site superintendents, the CMGT program prepares students to become on-the-job leaders from day one.

Accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). ACCE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the accrediting agency for Baccalaureate and Associate Degree programs in construction, construction science, construction management and construction technology located in North America and Australia.

What’s the Construction Management Program?
Housed in the College of Engineering, Chico State’s CMGT program transforms students’ curiosity to graduates ready to join a high-profile team of construction leaders out in the workplace. Our small class sizes and curriculum which blends theory with hands-on learning fosters the perfect learning environment for students to explore the intricacies of construction management.
The CMGT program has nurtured deep and time-tested relationships with more than 60 leaders in the construction industry; leaders who have been at the forefront of the fast-paced construction industry, managing and building the structures we live, work and play in across the globe.

The mission of the Chico State Construction Management Department, in collaboration with our industry partners, is to be the recognized leader in Construction Management education.
