How to Clear Mandatory Advising Requirements

Step 1: Watch the Video

Step 2: Degree Progress Report

Login to your Student Center (accessible via the Portal), navigate to the ROAR tab click on the first 'R' to "Review Degree Progress Report." Under "Additional Graduation Requirements":

  • Determine how many University Writing Requirements you still need
  • Determine which Diversity Requirements you still need: United States Diversity (USD) and Global Cultures (GC) 

Step 3: Degree Planner

Login to your Student Center (accessible via the Portal), navigate to the ROAR tab click on 'O' to "Organize your Degree Planner" and plan out your coursework.

  • Choose general education upper division pathway
  • Select each course, lower division and upper division general education courses
  • Move courses to other terms/semesters to your liking

Step 4: Attend Mandatory Advising Workshop

Mandatory advising workshops will take place from April 1st to 17th. Learn more about the workshop times and locations for each department.
