Fusion Lab

Location: Ayres Hall, Room 122

A 3 dimensional student project made of wood, modeling a house.

In the Fusion Lab, students create with digital tools like the laser cutter, 3D printer, and resin printer. This is where you can build models, stencils, plates for printmaking – the possibilities are endless! No experience required. We will guide you step-by-step, so if you’re curious, reach out!

The use of the Fusion Media Lab is intended for the current College of HFA students only.

The laser cutter can engrave (raster) or cut all the way through your material (vector). All vector drawings must be enclosed shapes.

  • All files must be Adobe Illustrator (.ai)

  • Ensure that the line thickness is 0.001

  • Vector lines and raster lines must be in different colors

  • All colors are RGB

Order Instructions

Fill out the Fusion Media Lab Form and email it (with your Adobe Illustrator file) to artlaser@csuchico.edu.

You will receive an email if there is something you need to fix with corrections or when your project is ready for pick up.

The Ira Latour Visual Resources Center (VRC) houses a collection of over 4000 books and related visual materials for the Art and Art History Department. The VRC also holds a reference collection of non-circulating art history books, illustrated books, catalogues raisonee, livres d'artiste, current periodicals, photographs, prints, and non-print media such as CD-ROMs, videos, and DVDs. This collection is made possible because of a generous endowment provided by Walter Kohn.
