ESL Support Services

ESL Support Services offers free tutoring services for non-native speakers of English who want to improve their English proficiency.

Who We Serve

We serve international students, bilinguals born in the U.S., and anyone else who identifies as a non-native speaker of English. Please note that these services are only for current Chico State students and staff.

What We Help With

We are happy to assist you with:

• Written assignments at all stages of completion
  • brainstorming ideas
  • organizing thoughts
  • discussing drafts
  • helping with grammar
  • helping with references and citations

• Oral presentations
  • giving feedback on practice runs

• Other tasks
  • scholarship applications
  • resumes
  • job applications

ESL Support Services is now open for tutoring! We offer in-person tutoring through drop-in visits --  no appointments needed! Please visit us in ARTS 206A. Tutors are available Mondays - Fridays from 11:00 - 4:00.
