Theatre Scholarships
- Scholarship auditions will occur for all students on the second Saturday of February. Returning students must audition IN PERSON. INCOMING students may audition in person or submit an online video. See the timeline below.
- Returning students must complete the University Wildcat Scholarship application available January 2 - February 15, 2026. Incoming students are strongly encouraged to complete the university scholarship application as well.
- All students must complete the Music and Theatre Department MTAD Scholarship Audition/Interview Request form.
- Scholarship recipients must be significantly involved in departmental productions during both semesters of the academic year for which they receive the award and are asked to sign an acceptance letter agreeing to this requirement.
- Applicants must be full-time students (12 units minimum) during the upcoming academic year and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA (a higher GPA is required for some scholarships)
- Award announcements are posted to the student's portal account between July and August of the academic year they will be issued.
- Awards are paid 50 percent at the beginning of each semester if the award is over $600. If under $600, the award will be paid 100 percent for the fall semester.
- All scholarships are contingent upon successful acceptance to the university.
