Research Experience Program - REU/RET

The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) and Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Program allows 8 undergraduates and 2 teachers to work on mathematics research with faculty mentors during a 7-week residential summer program at California State University, Chico. The program will not take place during Summer 2027. We plan to run the REU/RET again during Summer 2028, contingent on funding

Chico, California is located in the northeast corner of the Sacramento Valley near the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range. The university campus is located in Chico’s walkable downtown with easy access to restaurants, shopping, museums, and coffee shops. Chico is also home to Bidwell Park, an urban park boasting over 3500 acres, which offers opportunities for hiking and swimming
