Now more than ever, the world is at your fingertips, and there has never been a better time to broaden your horizons with a degree in Asian studies. You’ll be prepared to successfully engage with Asian cultures in the career field of your choice while opening a world of possibilities for your future.
Grow your expertise in the history, religion, culture, art, and philosophies of the world’s most populous continent while becoming proficient in an Asian language. And learn from professors excited to share their expertise, some coming from personal experience living and working in Asia.
This low-unit major provides the language and intercultural communication skills you need for a great head start in careers such as business, travel and hospital, health and community services, as well as international, governmental, and non-profit agencies.
Pursue a career in the US or abroad in fields such as education, language, human resources, communications, emergency response, and marking. Teach English as a second language (at home or abroad), become an international student advisor, or take on the non-profit world by founding or leading an agency.
