Be part of one of the fastest-growing industries in the country. As a Construction Management student, you will learn to lead construction projects ranging from bridges, roads, high-rises, hospitals, schools, and homes.

You will solve complex challenges in the construction industry and be a leader on the job from day one. Our program blends theory with hands-on learning, creating the perfect environment for you to explore the world of construction management. You will graduate ready to manage and coordinate all aspects of construction, from the concrete foundation to the interior finish work, and everything in between.

Building Blocks for Success

You will gain an understanding of every aspect of construction operations with courses like accounting, physics, sustainable construction, and communications. Your classes will provide simulated management experience using actual contract plans and specifications.

A Blueprint for Immersive Learning

Become a great problem solver and leader while learning how to work well in teams and develop your public speaking and presentation skills through competitions, projects, and internships.

    ASC Student Competition

    Join a team taking on real construction projects in various competitions throughout the year. Our program consistently places at or near the top at the annual Associated Schools of Construction competition in Nevada.

    Community Service Projects

    Our students volunteer hundreds of hours each year to organize and complete community projects. We’ve built homes for fire victims, converted a portable trailer into an operating room for the animal shelter, revamped a legendary children’s playground, and more.

    Industry Internships

    Find paid internships throughout the US as a project engineer or project and operations manager to prepare you for a career in the construction industry. Most of our students complete two internships before graduating.

We are home to six highly active clubs: Associated General Contractors, Design Build Institute of America, Chico State Women in Construction, Beavers Heavy Civil, Mechanical Contractors Association, and IOTA Honor Society. Each club offers engaging opportunities to connect with peers and industry leaders.
