With dedicated professors and beginner to intermediate courses, you'll hone your skills and build your confidence semester by semester. You'll also gain practical knowledge and have the opportunity to shine on stage in our theatre productions. Whether you want to dance professionally or explore your artistic expression, you will graduate ready for careers in teaching, performing, or production.

Our diverse curriculum spans the roots of dance in world cultures, ballet, tap, jazz, ballroom, choreography, and an array of dance techniques. Pursue the style that interests you the most and seize opportunities to perform.

Step Up Your Skills

A minor in dance is a great way to develop skills you can use in many different areas of your life, including the workplace across a wide variety of fields. You will also gain hands-on experience in dance productions and performances for academic credit.

Where Connection and Support Take Center Stage

Audition for four mainstage theater productions a year, produced in three different theaters—including 1,200-seat Laxson Auditorium. Find your niche and some great friends in the Theatre Arts Club, which prides itself on student-produced shows and festivals.
