    The History Club

    The History Club is open to all, and members of the Phi Alpha Theta club edit and produce The Chico Historian, a journal that publishes students' historical research papers written in conjunction with their coursework. Both groups offer students opportunities to connect beyond the classroom with book talks, career forums, trivia nights, trips, movie screenings, and more.

    Research Presentations

    Vivian Hernandez (History, Latin American Studies, ’22) earned recognition at research competitions and conferences for her original research project titled “Women’s Fertility and Social Transformation in Modern Mexico, 1968–1988.” She was also awarded the CSU Trustees' Award for her scholarship and service.
