Enjoy the flexibility of online learning in one of the only interdisciplinary humanities online degree programs on the West Coast, while exploring the places and subjects you are most passionate about.
Humanities is the study of human creativity as it is expressed in the various cultures of the world. With more than 50 courses to choose from, many recorded to maximize your scheduling options, you’ll create a unique expertise.
Choose from subject matter such as culture, literature, art, history, and philosophy, to specific civilizations you want to know more about. Take advantage of the small class sizes to get the faculty support you need.
You will enjoy an overview of cultural traditions from around the globe, focusing on the arts (such as literature, music, theatre, sculpture, painting, architecture), and disciplines like philosophy, religion, and other traditions and movements.
A degree in humanities prepares you to navigate challenges and spot solutions in several highly sought-after careers in fields such as communications, education, media, business, advertising, publishing, and journalism. It can also set you up for success in further studies in law, medicine, and more.
Our expert and diverse faculty provide a depth of knowledge that’s hard to beat. They speak almost 20 languages between them and lead students on trips all over the globe—providing one of the many opportunities you’ll have to learn outside of the classroom.
Join the Comparative Religion and Humanities Student Society and take an enlightening road trip to a Chinese Temple, Trappist Monastery, or majestic museum while bonding with your classmates. Or enjoy online trivia time, painting parties, and other events.
