    On Campus

Expand your horizons with a minor in Japanese. Through our program, you will develop an understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture that will open doors for you to live, work, or study in Japan and to interact successfully with Japanese speakers.

You will develop intermediate proficiency in speaking and functional knowledge of all three writing systems (kanji, hiragana, katakana) in Japanese, and you can participate in a teaching internship when you reach advanced proficiency. Our program goes beyond the classroom—you will be encouraged to study abroad and immerse yourself in the language and culture.
