Explore one of the most vibrant and diverse regions in the world and discover areas of particular interest to you as you study the geography, history, cultures, art, politics, and societies of Latin America.

You’ll develop a basic proficiency in Spanish and a broad understanding of the traditions and trends that influence the region. Immerse yourself in the learning experience by participating in study abroad opportunities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, and Uruguay.

As a student in the minor, you’ll complete third-semester competency in Spanish language alongside elective courses that range from “Cultures of Latin America” to “Indigenous Literature and Translation” and a vast array of interdisciplinary subjects.
