As a student in the minor, you’ll examine the history and landscape from multiple perspectives to gain a broad understanding of its cultural richness and complexity.
In small, discussion-based classes, you’ll gain important insight and language proficiencies that will serve you in any career or area of research and instill a life-long appreciation for the joy of learning. Expand your experience and study abroad in Morocco, Turkey, the UAE, or Jordan, among others.
You’ll complete a second-semester competency in a Middle Eastern language, which you’re encouraged to take alongside elective courses that range from “The Modern Middle East” to “Roots of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam” and a vast array of interdisciplinary subjects.
As a student in the minor, you’ll develop a range of important skills that translate to any career path or profession. These skills include research, communication, project management, and leadership.
