Have you imagined yourself wearing scrubs, working in a hospital or clinic, and providing frontline care to people? Help fill the national demand for nurses, who play so many important roles in our healthcare system, by providing patient care, guidance, and support.
By enrolling in our nationally ranked, recognized, and accredited nursing program, you’ll gain the practical experience needed to launch a career in nursing or begin graduate studies. You’ll be supported by passionate faculty and dedicated clinical partners in small classes where your peers become like family.
Our curriculum brings the nursing profession to life, offering you everything from courses in communication and human anatomy to hyper realistic simulation practicums at our state-of-the-art learning lab.
We offer two options within the nursing major to meet your needs, depending on where you are in your learning journey.
If you are beginning in the nursing field, this curriculum meets all state requirements for initial Registered Nurse licensure as well as Public Health Nursing certification.
If you’ve already completed an associate’s RN program, this option meets the requirements for Public Health Nursing certification.
Our program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and consistently named among the nation’s best BSN programs. Graduates enjoy a 100% employment rate, with a median income of more than $89,000, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

With three active student clubs, including the California Nursing Students Association, Nursing Club, and United Nursing via DEI, you’ll have a variety of platforms to connect with peers, access professional mentors, and develop leadership skills.
In our nursing program, a big part of learning is doing the work. In addition to skill labs and our collaborative class environment, you’ll test yourself in our state-of-the-art facilities working with community partners who offer you the chance to fully realize your vision of becoming a nurse.
The Rural Northern California Simulation Center is one of its kind in Northern California, offering you a true-to-life learning environment to practice your skills with peers. Operating in collaboration with our students and community partners, you’ll have guidance and input from faculty and advisors.
Gain important clinical experience through the Rural California Nursing Preceptorship (RCNP) Program, designed to give student nurses and graduate nurses (RNs) opportunities to work in a rural or semi-rural setting.
