Discover the complex intersections of identity, power, and culture with the queer and trans studies minor. This program explores LGBTQIA2S+ histories, theories, and activism while examining the broader social, political, and cultural contexts that shape these experiences.

Through thought-provoking courses and community engagement, you’ll gain critical perspectives and skills applicable to a wide range of careers, from education and advocacy to health care and public policy.

Explore Identity, Advocacy, and Social Change

Classes cover topics from activism and politics to history and development. They focus on queer and trans voices and experiences, especially those of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). You'll also complete fieldwork, gaining hands-on experience.

Essential Skills for a More Inclusive World

Develop a deep understanding of intersectionality, enabling you to approach challenges with empathy and critical thinking. The program fosters advocacy and leadership skills, helping you champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in any professional setting.
