Few forces have wielded more power in the United States and the world than religion. It has shaped cultures and been shaped by culture.
Take a deep dive into the history, philosophy, art, literature, practices, and impacts of the world's religions, including how they have helped form humanity's practices around government, life, death, relationships, and morality, and continue to do so today. You will graduate with an understanding of the world’s religions that will help make you an informed global citizen.
Immerse yourself in as wide a variety of topics as you will find on a college campus—history, philosophy, art, psychology, and sociology—in this 34-unit major that also offers maximum flexibility with space to study outside the major..
Your understanding of the world’s religions and their influence on humanity opens you to a wide variety of career paths, including law, teaching, religion, politics, international relations, diversity work, and more. Alumni of our program also have a 100% acceptance rate to graduate school.
