Under the guidance of experienced and dedicated faculty, you'll learn to create classroom experiences that support the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural, and linguistic needs of students in today's dynamic classroom environments. The program follows a social-justice centered approach to education that empowers you to meet the new and emerging needs or learning modalities of tomorrow's students.

Combined with expertise usually obtained through a college degree, you'll be prepared to achieve subject matter authorization in agriculture, art, English, foundation level math or science, health, music, physical education, science (biology, chemistry, geoscience, physics), social science, and world languages (Spanish).

Admission into programs leading to a credential does not guarantee that students will obtain a credential. Credentialing requirements are set by agencies that are not controlled by or affiliated with the CSU and requirements can change at any time. For example, credentialing requirements can include evidence of the right to work in the United States (e.g., Social Security number or taxpayer identification number) or successfully passing a criminal background check. Students are responsible for determining whether they can meet credentialing requirements.
