Chico Adelante Program

Peer-Plus Mentors

Adelante Peer-Plus Mentors are employed by the Adelante Program to support undergraduate students as they navigate their academic journey and prepare to envision their future as potential graduate students.

As a Peer Plus Mentor, you will be expected to be accountable to your mentees, your peers, and your supervisor by fully participating in program activities and seeking guidance when needed to support your mentees' academic success.

Your responsibilities as a Peer-Plus mentor will include supporting and guiding your mentees through various workshops, presentations, and activities geared toward preparing them for graduate school. This may include supporting them in completing scholarship applications as well as research and graduate program applications.

Peer-Plus mentors and mentees will have Blackboard access for the Adelante Wayfinders Mentoring Program. Our Blackboard Community will have a schedule of activities, resources, and links to all presentations and workshops for the Adelante Program.
