Once You’re Accepted

You’re a Wildcat now! Congratulations from all of us at Chico State. We’re excited for you and can’t wait to welcome you to campus. Take the next step to make your enrollment official today!

Accept Your Admissions Offer

Once you have been admitted to a graduate program, you do not need to take any further steps with the Office of Graduate Studies or pay a deposit to secure your spot in the program. Please connect with your graduate coordinator or email the Office of Graduate Studies if your plans change and will not be enrolling in a graduate program at Chico State. Depending on your program, it may be possible to delay the start of your program by one or two semesters—just ask us about the possibility of deferring.

In the meantime, we recommend that you regularly check your Chico State email and student portal account, as well as stay in touch with your graduate coordinator. We also suggest you review the University financial and graduate student deadlines and explore the Office of Graduate Studies website.

You’re in! Now What?

Can’t be postbacc without a bacc! Make sure to finish the final semester(s) strong so you can complete your bachelor’s program on time.

Mark your calendar for important graduate program dates and deadlines registration, submitting transcripts, and more, and visit your personalized To-Do List in the Student Center.

Official notifications from the University related to enrollment, fees, and financial aid will be sent to your Wildcat email (NAME@csuchico.edu), so check the account often or set up email forwarding.

Reach out to your program coordinator to learn about any additional steps you may need to take and get connected to resources or opportunities.

Request official transcripts from every college/university attended since you graduated high school. If you are currently in the process of earning your bachelor’s degree do not have official transcripts sent until your degree has been awarded and posted on your transcript.Exception: Chico State graduates do not need to send official transcripts.

It is preferable to have official transcript sent electronically from the school or their transcript clearinghouse (Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.) directly to Chico. If an email is required for an electronic transcript use: info@csuchico.edu.

Official paper transcripts must be received sealed in an original envelope from the issuing institution and be less than two years old. Official paper transcripts may be mailed to:

Office of Graduate Studies
California State University, Chico
400 West First Street
Chico, CA 95929-0875

Most students qualify for some form of financial aid to help pay for school.

View registration dates for your enrollment period. Contact your graduate coordinator for advising on course registration.

Let us welcome and support you in your transition to the Wildcat community at our new graduate student orientation which takes place the Friday before the first day of classes. Check your Wildcat email for additional details from the Office of Graduate Studies. Also check your email or stay in contact with your graduate coordinator for any program-specific orientation events.

Upload proof of immunization to the WellCat Health Center patient portal prior to accessing campus for your first semester.
