Students applying for a master’s degree or credential program must meet the minimum academic performance, education, and language requirements set by the CSU. Degree programs may have additional requirements, so check the program page for full details.
Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited college or university, or international equivalent to a US 4-year regionally accredited bachelor's degree.
Pre-requisites vary depending on the academic program.
If your bachelor’s degree or equivalent was awarded at a school in a non-native English-speaking country, you must satisfy the English Language Proficiency Requirement and submit qualifying English exam scores.
None of our programs require standardized tests except the GRE for the Computer Science MS. This requirement is waived for Computer Science MS applicants who have completed a computer science-related Bachelor’s degree at an ABET accredited institution.
All other master’s programs are exempt from any standardized tests as an admission requirement.
