To check your admissions status, you need to claim your Chico State account (also sometimes called your “Chico State login”).
Your account will allow you access to the Chico State Portal, the one-stop gateway to your personalized student information and helpful resources, including checking your admissions status, to-do list items (bachelor’s only), and more in the Student Center.
You can also use your Student Center to:
If you feel there is new, serious, and compelling information that might affect our admission decision, you may submit an appeal. You have 15 business days from the date you receive your denial notice to submit an appeal statement and supporting documents to International Admissions (apply@csuchico.edu). You are entitled to one appeal per academic term.
Email is the primary way we will contact you, so keep checking the email account you listed on your application. This is where you will receive helpful information, important deadlines, and engagement opportunities.
Chico State and the CSU system do everything possible to keep costs to a minimum. Understanding your future expenses, applying for scholarships, and searching for campus jobs will lead to greater success. You can begin applying for scholarships as soon as your university application is submitted.
To qualify for an I-20 form, newly admitted students must demonstrate an ability to pay the University’s estimated cost of attendance for the first academic year.
Chico State offers a variety of financial support, either through the single Wildcat Scholarships application, the international office, or other support programs. These awards consider a range of criteria, including scholastic achievement, financial need, school and community service, and more. Applications for Wildcat Scholarships are open from January to mid-February each year. Most awards are offered for an academic year beginning in the fall semester.
Campus jobs help build practical skills and prepare you for a future career. Understand the employment opportunities and rules as an F or J visa international student. International Student Advisors will guide you through the process and connect you to campus resources.
You can learn a lot about Chico from our website, but the best way to get to know us is by visiting campus or meeting virtually.
