Admissions requirements for domestic transfer students depend on whether you are seeking a lower-division or upper-division transfer.

Lower-Division Transfer
Education
- Fewer than 60 semester college units completed before your first day of classes at Chico State
- Be in “good standing” at the last college or university attended
Academic Performance
2.0 or greater GPA
Satisfy one of the following:
- Meet the first-time in college admission criteria in effect for the term for which the application is filed
- Eligible as a first-time in college applicant at the time of high school graduation and in continuous attendance at an accredited college since high school graduation
- Had a qualifying high school GPA, has made up missing high school A–G subjects with a grade of C- or better in college, and in continuous attendance at an accredited college since high school graduation.
Courses
Complete general education Written Communication (A2) and College Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (B4) with a grade of C- or better.

Upper-Division Transfer
Education

Courses
- Complete 30 semester (45 quarter) units of general education
- Complete Oral Communication (A1), Written Communication (A2), Critical Thinking (A3), and College Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (B4) with a grade of C- or better.
