Internship Course
The Internship courses (ABUS 389, AGRI 389, ANSC 389, and PSSC 389) provide credit for industry experience. The objective of the internship program is to enhance the technical and professional capabilities of future production, service and research employees.
The objective may be achieved through an internship program for undergraduate students, who will receive practical experience in a wide variety of agricultural science related fields, i.e. production, service and research. The program may also serve to acquaint student interns with agricultural and conflicting lifestyles, norms and values, while establishing valuable contacts in their chosen field. The internship may be spent in the private or public sector, but in either case, should reflect a view of a wide cross-section of the business/agency.

Summer Internship Workshops: If you plan to complete an internship during the summer you will need to attend one of the following workshops. If you cannot attend, please reach out to lkjeffery@csuchico.edu

Internship steps after attending workshop:
1. Attend Internship Meeting. Check e-mails from Student Success Office regarding due dates and times or contact Lindsey Jeffery at lkjeffery@csuchico.edu.
2. Secure agricultural internship.
3. Review the Workshop Presentation (PDF) and complete the Internship Application and Waiver (PDF)and submit it to Lindsey Jeffery at lkjeffery@csuchico.edu for review and approval. Unpaid internships require additional paperwork - once the application is received. any additional paperwork will be sent to you.

4. Once site is approved and a contract between the university and internship site is executed, student will be enrolled in course (Lindsey Jeffery will provide an update to the student).
5. Complete required hours of relevant work experience tied to established student learning objectives.
6. Complete and submit required internship assignments per syllabus.
