The Option in Agricultural Communication and Leadership
With a degree in agricultural science and an option in agricultural communication and leadership, students study a broad curriculum combining the science and practice of agriculture with communication skills, strategy, and theory. By taking a wide array of classes from both the College of Agriculture and the College of Communication and Education, students graduate with the skills and experience to effectively communicate about agriculture with a variety of audiences and media.

Internships
Students are not required to intern as part of this major. Many students take advantage of the internship program to gain occupational experience required for the teaching credential. Internship Opportunities
Service and Outreach Activities
Students in the Agricultural Communication and Leadership option are engaged in many service activities across the college through student clubs and organizations, Ag Ambassadors, and the many events and programs offered by the College of Agriculture.
Career Opportunities
Possible career paths include agricultural advocacy, public relations, media, marketing, sales, government, and non-profit administration.
