The Option in Agricultural Communication and Leadership

Welcome!

Students in the agricultural communication and leadership option study a broad curriculum combining the science and practice of agriculture with  communication skills, strategy, and theory. By taking a wide array of classes from both the College of Agriculture and the College of Communication and Education, students graduate with the skills and experience to effectively communicate about agriculture with a variety of audiences and media.

The degree offers a range of career opportunities including agricultural advocacy, public relations, media, marketing, sales, governmental and non-profit administration and more!

Student Activities

Students in the Agricultural Communication and Leadership option are engaged in many service activities across the college through student clubs and organizations, Ag Ambassadors, Ag Communicators of Tomorrow and other events and programs offered by the College of Agriculture. Students have an option to also write for the College of Agriculture’s annual Harvest Magazine.
