Throughout the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management the energy and activities are evidence of fall semester being in full swing. Across our departments and programs, a common theme has emerged: collaboration. From departments teaming up to offer first-of-its-kind courses to student clubs working together on service projects, our faculty and students are collaborating to make positive impacts on campus and throughout the community. We are pleased to share this newsletter and bring our alumni, faculty, staff, and friends the exciting news and stories happening here at Chico State. We hope that this publication will not only inform you, but also inspire you to stay connected or reconnect with the College of ECC.

Engineering Student Success Center helps students overcome obstacles

The Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) opened in 2016 and served more than 230 students in its first year. This invaluable resource helps students thrive at Chico State, achieve timely graduation, and be prepared to make positive impacts in their chosen field.

The ESSC provides key services tailored to students in the College of ECC including:

  • Comprehensive academic advising
  • Career advising
  • Facilitating relationships between students and faculty
The ESSC is a featured cause for Chico State Giving Day 2017. A Chico State ECC alum has pledged up to $10,000 to match Giving Day donations. On November 28, it’s your chance to make an impact. Ensure that all 2,500 College of ECC students have access to the important services provided by the ESSC.

Learn more about the ESSC and how meeting our $20,000 Giving Day fundraising goal will directly impact all College of ECC students with expanded services and hours of operation on our website
