Summary: Buying a small business: An MBA approach to a blue collar acquisition. This discussion is designed to outline the possibilities of purchasing your own business. No need to worry on building from the ground up, when there are thousands of mature businesses that need new ownership and your leadership. We'll be looking at the pathway to purchase companies with market valuations (purchase price) 1mil to 5mil. The goal is to find companies that have Great cash flow, good EBITDA and opportunities for growth.

Reid Cossey is President of Recorders Charts and Pens, a wholesale distributor of chart recorder consumables to the oil & gas and manufacturing industries.Mr. Cossey began his career in real estate, selling condominiums and beach houses in Puerto Penasco Sonora, Mexico. He founded his own commercial real estate company in Mexico in 2005. After moving back to the states in 2009, he realized corporate life was not for him. Originally from Hollister, CA, he earned his BS in Business Administration from The Chico State University in 2000 and his MBA from the SMU Cox School of Business in 2013. He resides in Dallas, TX with his Family. He still enjoys playing rugby, traveling whenever possible and prefers California wine.
