Would you like to take your class, student group, or department on a private forest therapy walk? The Chico State Ecotherapy Program offers professionally guided Forest Therapy experiences on or off campus at no cost to participants.
A forest therapy walk is a great way to set an optimistic tone for the semester, organically nourish relationships and a positive culture within your group, and experience the natural beauty of our campus and community.
Consider letting us lead your group in one of the following offerings:
+ 30-minute "Activity"
Guided sensory and embodiment activity + intro to the science behind Forest Therapy.
+ 1-1.5 hour "Taster"
An abbreviated and relaxing Forest Therapy experience.
+ 2-3 hour "Full" Forest Therapy Experience
A luxuriant and restorative whole forest therapy walk. Offered on or off campus at a wide variety of green spaces in or around Chico.
The Ecotherapy Program also offers a holistic wellness training (appropriate for classes, departments, and student organizations). This training includes:
• Psychoeducation on how stress & trauma impact the nervous system
• Valuable techniques and tools for regulation, mindfulness, and resiliency
• Introduction to Forest and Nature Therapy
If you'd like to schedule a forest therapy experience for your group, or would like more information, write to us at ecotherapy@csuchico.edu, or fill out this registration form.
We look forward to seeing you outside soon!
