Campus adjacent - Warner St Parking Lot, Warner St, Chico, CA 95926
During this event, we will be canvassing a neighborhood in Chico to raise awareness about fire safety and home hardening measures for urban and wildfire protection. Our goal is to engage with residents and provide them with valuable information on how to safeguard their homes and families in the event of an emergency. We will be looking to reach a total of 25 homes. We will accept anywhere from 4-15 volunteers.
Additionally, we will be offering free smoke alarm installations to interested homeowners courtesy of the Red Cross. This presents a wonderful opportunity for College Corps members to actively participate in emergency preparedness efforts and make a tangible difference in our community.
Please wear comfortable clothing. Bring water. Light snacks and water will be provided. Volunteers are welcome to bring along friends who are interested in joining our cause.
No prior experience is required, as training will be provided on-site.
Your involvement would not only support our efforts but also introduce volunteers to the invaluable work carried out by the Red Cross in emergency response and preparedness.
