The University Farm is pleased to announce a new product release from the Organic Dairy Unit—a premium organic white cheddar cheese, processed and packaged by Sierra Nevada Cheese Company. Eight-ounce cheese blocks can be purchased at the University Farm Office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and on Tuesdays from 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Cheese will also be available for purchase at the University Farm Meats Lab on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Cash, check and credit cards can be used to purchase products. Please note, the University Farm Office and Meats Lab will be closed from Monday–Friday, December 23–27. The Office will also be closed Thursday, Dec. 19, and January 1 and 3. This premium organic white cheddar cheese is made with 100% milk from the cows at the Chico State Organic Dairy. The funds raised from sales will help to support the College of Agriculture's dairy program, where students are learning the fundamentals of dairy management and nutrition.
