The WellCat Health Center offers free Narcan (naloxone) to students, faculty, and staff. Narcan is a life-saving medication designed to reverse the effects of opioid overdoses and is easy to use in an emergency situation. Additionally, the WellCat Health Center is proud to provide Narcan training sessions for departments and organizations across campus. These sessions include: How to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose. Step-by-step guidance on how to administer Narcan. Important resources and protocols to follow during a crisis. Departments interested in scheduling a training session or individuals seeking more information can contact our Clinical Case Manager, Sawyer McAvoy, at slmcavoy@csuchico.edu.
