Back to Basics at The Well: Essential Tools for a Healthy Mind

Back to Basics: Essential Tools for a Healthy Mind is a mental health workshop series led by Bianca Wilson, LMFT designed specifically for college students. This program aims to equip students with foundational skills and strategies to maintain and enhance their mental well-being. Through a series of interactive sessions, students will learn practical tools for managing stress, improving emotional resilience, fostering healthy relationships, and balancing academic and personal life. Each workshop focuses on different aspects of mental health, providing a holistic approach to wellness that is essential for thriving in a demanding college environment.

Workshops will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at The Well. Attend three or more workshops and be entered to win a Whoop to help monitor your recovery and wellbeing.

February 6: Mental Health 101

Students will learn how to access campus mental health services, what to expect from them, common mental health struggles among college students, & the differences between crisis, individual, & group services.

March 6: Emotional Intelligence 101

Students will learn to develop & enhance their emotional intelligence skills, which can be applied in both their personal & professional lives.

April 3: Mindfulness 101

Students will learn strategies to feel more calm, effective, connected, & resilient. Research shows that mindfulness helps manage stress, build focus, & enhance resilience, leaving people nourished & energized.

May 1: Journaling 101

Journaling aids physical & mental healing & self-development. In this workshop, students will learn basic journaling techniques & how to build a solid journaling practice.
