The Writing Center is excited to announce a series of free Ink & Inspiration workshops designed to enhance your creative writing skills and provide unique ways to express yourself. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just getting started, these sessions are tailored to inspire creativity and offer a supportive space to explore different writing techniques.

  1. Words of Affection: Crafting Meaningful Letters and Poems

Date: Tuesday, February 11th

Time: 3:00 PM

Location: SSC 490

Celebrate love and connection by creating personalized cards for birthdays, graduations, get well wishes, or just because! In this workshop, you'll also explore the art of poetry as you craft heartfelt verses to accompany your creations. With construction paper, coloring tools, and your imagination, you'll learn how to express meaningful sentiments through both words and art.

  1. Spring Into Writing: Break Through the Slump

Date: Tuesday, March 11th

Time: 3:00 PM

Are you feeling stuck or uninspired in your writing? This session is all about rejuvenating your creative flow. We'll explore ways to break free from the writing slump using prompts, free writing exercises, and simple techniques. Take this chance to rediscover your passion for writing and reignite your creativity.

  1. Safe Spaces on Paper: Journaling, Scrapbooking, and Self-Discovery

Date: Tuesday, April 8th

Time: 3:00 PM

Location: SSC 490

In this hands-on workshop, we'll use journaling and scrapbooking as tools for self-expression and healing. Whether you're new to journaling or experienced in scrapbooking, this session invites you to reflect on your journey, document your memories, and create a "safe place" on paper.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend Ink & Inspiration. No prior registration is required, and all workshops will take place in the Student Services Center, Room 490. We encourage you to bring your questions and a willingness to enhance your writing skills.
