WEBINAR - Protecting $70 million in Ongoing USDA funding to HSIs

Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, 12–1 p.m.

Online

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will host a member webinar, "Protecting $70 million in Ongoing funding to HSIs," on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 12:00 pm PT. (Chico State is a HACU member.)

Federal agencies are assessing their funding allocations and approximately $70 million in ongoing USDA support for HSIs is at risk. To ensure the continuity of these critical programs, HACU is calling on its member institutions to unite in defense of this funding.

This webinar will feature HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores, along with Executive Vice President for Policy and Government Relations Lena Rodriguez. Panelists will highlight the indispensable role of collaboration between USDA, HACU, and member institutions in fostering progress, empowering over 5 million students at HSIs—many of whom are low-income, first-generation, or from underserved communities. All HACU members must mobilize and amplify our collective voice to safeguard HSI-USDA funding.

Now is the time for us to act together and safeguard the future of agricultural innovation and workforce development. Join us to ensure that the next generation of leaders is equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
