The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Academic Success invites applications for a .4 faculty position to serve as the Undeclared Support Coordinator for AY 2025-26. This role is a key opportunity for faculty interested in advancing equity and retention efforts to support a sense of belonging and academic exploration for students without a declared major.
The coordinator serves as the Equity and Retention Lead for students without a declared major and works closely with Academic Advising Programs and the First-Year Experience Program to lead a cohesive support team for undeclared students. Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance academic exploration and engagement (workshops, curriculum, communications, etc.).
- Work with additional campus partners (college advisors, Orientation, Career Center, etc.) to strengthen support networks for belonging, retention, and equity.
- Meet regularly with Vice Provost and other college equity leads; update and report on UED Equity and Retention Plan
The position is open to all faculty (tenured, tenure-track, and lecturers). We encourage faculty with a strong commitment to student success and equity to apply.
