Conversation on Equity Diversity and Inclusion (COEDI)

Thursday, Mar. 13, 2025, 12–1 p.m.

Bell Memorial Union (BMU) 210

Americans are deeply divided on critical issues—immigration, abortion, racial equity, and more. Beyond these policy disagreements, there is a growing red-blue animosity that leaves many feeling isolated, angry, and fearful for the future.

In this talk, Dr. Kate McCarthy will offer practical strategies for engaging with those across ideological divides—including when not to engage. Drawing on principles of interreligious dialogue, this interactive presentation will provide tools to foster meaningful conversations in a polarized society.
