  • Stay Aware & Trust Your Gut – If something feels off, remove yourself from the situation.

  • Know Your Limits – If drinking, pace yourself, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended.

  • Protect Yourself – Use sunscreen, wear seatbelts, and be mindful of your surroundings.

  • Keep Emergency Contacts Handy – Save local emergency numbers and be aware of available resources.

Know the Signs of Alcohol Poisoning

Alcohol poisoning is a medical emergency that can be life-threatening. If someone exhibits any of the following signs, call for help immediately:
Confusion or inability to stay conscious
Vomiting while unconscious or unable to wake up
Slow or irregular breathing (fewer than 8 breaths per minute or 10+ seconds between breaths)
Seizures
Hypothermia (cold, clammy, or blue-tinted skin)

The Good Samaritan Law – Protect Yourself & Others

If you think someone is experiencing alcohol poisoning, never hesitate to call for help. California's Good Samaritan Law protects both the person in need and the caller from legal consequences related to underage drinking when seeking medical assistance. Saving a life is always the priority.
