LAST CHANCE! Join the Associated Students for Cats in the Community on March 31

Announced on: Monday, Mar. 24, 2025

Cats in the Community is back! To honor the legacy of the United Farm Workers, Dolores Huerta, and the holiday's namesake – César Chávez, the Associated Students will be hosting our annual César Chávez Day of Service, Cats in the Community, on Monday, March 31st from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The event, which provides students the opportunity to give back to the local Chico community through community service, will feature 7+ volunteer sites including The Boys and Girls Club, Butte County Fire Safe Council, Paradise Recreation and Park District, and the City of Chico.

Volunteers are asked to pre-register before the event via GivePulse. Check-in will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Housing Courtyard (near The HUB). Transportation to non-walkable sites will be provided. Free coffee and breakfast burritos will be available to those who register in advance.

This event is hosted by the Associated Students through Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE). For more information about the event, please click here and follow us on social media at @aschicostate and @chicostateCAVE.
