Dear Campus Community/Students,
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Chico Fire Department will conduct elevator rescue training at Whitney Hall in coordination with Environmental Health and Safety, University Housing, and Facilities Management and Services.
During this time, multiple fire engines, other emergency vehicles, and rescue personnel will be on-site as part of a simulated emergency drill. This is a training exercise and not an actual emergency.
Campus operations at large will not be affected, and all residence halls will remain open. The Éstom Jámani dining hall and courtyard and programming at the Hub will also not be affected.
