Reminder: REAL ID Travel Requirements Effective May 7, 2025

This is a friendly reminder for all campus travelers that starting May 7, 2025, the TSA will require state-issued driver's licenses or identification cards that meet REAL ID standards to board domestic flights.

What travelers need to do:

Check your ID – Look for the REAL ID star on their driver's license.
Apply for a REAL ID if needed – Visit the CA DMV website for requirements and to apply.
Use an alternative ID – A passport, Global Entry card, or other TSA-approved ID will also be accepted.
