You are invited to come enjoy three 30-minute presentations by graduating seniors of the Criminal Justice major. These students have spent the semester doing research on specific challenges faced by our modern day criminalizing system that in their estimation require re-thinking and re-tooling. If you ever wondered what students who spend 4 years thinking about justice matters have to say when it is all done – here is your chance! Presentation 1: How Are Scholars Questioning the Use of Incarceration? Presentation 2: How Have Researchers Interpreted the "Defund the Police" Movement? Presentation 3: How Are Scholars Interpreting the Penal Abolition Movement? These three presentations are on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:00 pm, in the Performing Arts Building of Chico State, in Room 134.
