McNair Scholars Program is Accepting Applicants! Apply by August 29th

Interest in a $2800 fellowship? Apply to the McNair Scholars Program, we are accepting transfer applications for AY 2025–2026! The McNair Scholars Program is dedicated to preparing first-generation, low-income, and historically underrepresented students for success in higher education.

Eligibility Requirements

• Juniors and Seniors (minimum of 60 units)
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• First-Generation AND Low-Income
• Underrepresented students with an educational disadvantage will also be considered

Program Benefits:

• $2,800 annual research fellowship
• Faculty-mentored research experience
• Grad school prep workshops (writing support, funding apps, etc.)
• Funding to attend conferences and research events
• Campus visits to doctoral institutions
• One-on-one advising and counseling
• Tools to overcome imposter syndrome and build confidence

Please keep in mind that only a select few students will be selected for this year's cohort. We are dedicated to supporting McNair Scholars! Continued funding is contingent upon Department of Education approval and congressional annual budget allocations.
