Wildcats—Mark your calendars!
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, California will hold a Statewide Special Election. This is an irregular election that is being held outside of California's standard election cycle, in order to address Proposition 50. It is an important opportunity for eligible voters in our campus community to have their voices heard on issues that affect our state and communities. If you are already a registered voter, well done! If you need to register to vote, you can do so here.
- To receive a vote-by-mail ballot: In order to receive a vote-by-mail ballot, you must register to vote on or before October 20, 2025. All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot.
- Early and same-day voter registration: Those eligible to vote can register on or between October 20 and November 4 (Election Day!) at any voter assistance center or the Butte County Elections Office.
- Chico State voting resources: Chico State will have a voter assistance center available in BMU 203 from November 1 through November 4. We will also have a ballot drop box available outside of the BMU starting October 6.
- Chico State voter registration events: The Office of Civic Engagement will be offering voter registration assistance to all campus community members on the Gauntlet from 10am-1pm on September 16 and September 30. There will be drinks, cookies, and lots of great voting information!
- Questions?: If you have questions, visit us in the Office of Civic Engagement in the Meriam Library, Room 121 or contact Civic Engagement Director Amy Magnus at ammagnus@csuchico.edu.
